Tom: I invented this dish one night when I was really hungry and was in the middle of reading William Shrirer’s “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.” The cabbage in the sauerkraut is good for you and will neutralize the bad effects of eating the high-fat ramen noodles.

Prepare ramen – beef, pork, or oriental flavor. (Regular ramen can be greatly improved simply by adding a little pepper, corn, raw eggs, and pre boiled vegetables such as cabbage or onions and cilantro.

After you have finished eating the ramen noodles you will have a big bowl of yummy broth (especially if you use Knorr stock or real stock instead of that industrial powder that comes in the package) and you will still be a little hungry. Add sauerkraut for a second course (you can also add a little sugar if you like) and reheat if necessary. Both the Germans and the Japanese will be proud of you.
