Cheesy Macaroni

Karine

While about 4 cups of macaroni are boiling, mix a quart of chopped tomatoes with about ¼ teaspoon of pepper (lots of pepper is good here, I don’t know how much is too much, Marie does though) in a large baking dish. We prefer the dish to be deep rather than wide. Stir in the cooked and drained macaroni. (I cook lots of macaroni so there is some plain left over for my kids who won’t eat the tomato stuff.) The tomato macaroni mix should be nearly soupy, but not quite. Cover the top with grated cheese (we like cheddar) and then top with bacon. I like the bacon cut in bite-size pieces (use the kitchen scissors), but it can be any way you like. Bake it for 25 minutes at 350° until bacon is crisp.
